Jonathunder ( talk) 23:49, 13 August 2015 (UTC) Reply WikiProject Food and drink Tagging That aspect of unusually shaped vegetables is indeed silly, but the article covers more than that. It is hardly a cultural phenomenon that some people giggle when they see "funny" plants and post pictures on the internet. There are penis-shaped plants, trees with vagina-shaped holes in the trunc etc. 81.131.9.41 ( talk) 18:20, 3 December 2010 (UTC) Reply Re: Things that look like other things, see Pareidolia. ) – Quiddity ( talk) 19:21, 13 June 2013 (UTC) Reply This artical has no right to exist.

I browsed here from Ain Sakhri lovers, musing over the possibility that this prehistoric artifact might be nothing more than an accidentally formed stone equivalent of an unusually shaped vegetable: so I hope that demonstrates to you that it's a notable, meaningful concept. It needs photographs of sexier vegetables, since the great part of the appeal of unusually shaped vegetables is the possibility of seeing a carrot with a penis, or something like a Coco de Mer. I admit that I think the article misses the point a bit. How do I nominate this for deletion? 66.92.146.86 ( talk) 21:34, 14 April 2008 (UTC) Reply ĭo we seriously have an article for this?! This is ridiculous! If you have this, you may as well have other dumb stuff like Potato Chips That Look Like Famous People or Potatoes That Look Like Animals. It's just that the boring EB wouldn't include it. The reasons for the difference between regularly-shaped and unusually-shaped vegetables is detailed in the article, and it is certainly worthy of inclusion. AdamBiswanger1 00:01, 9 June 2007 (UTC) Reply When there are annual competitions and regular television appearances I think it's quite encyclopaedic. I just don't see how unusually-shaped vegetables are a legitimately noted occurence, or if there is any scientific or taxonomical distinction between regularly shaped and irregularly shaped vegetables? Has anyone written about unusually shaped vegetables extensively? What makes a regularly-shaped and an irregularly shaped vegetable different? Mind that someone else must provide this information to avoid original research.īasically, I feel creating this article is alot like creating an article like "Chairs with really skinny legs" or "Words that sound funny". It looks like the author worked hard on it.

I think this article is weird and even unencyclopedic but I don't have the heart to nominate it for deletion.
